Community Preparedness

I have been appointed chair for the Community Preparedness Committee.  Old and new members are encouraged to join in as fire season is upon us.  I am in the process of updating the CPC handbook and could use your help.

The Community Preparedness Committee (CPC) is a formal group of SFTR residents acting with the authority of the POA Board of Directors to provide for front gate-guard shack computer/camera surveillance maintain and update SFTR Hot Line and SFTR Web page and provide assistance during emergency situations on the ranch.  It also functions as liaison to area emergency response agencies.

The CPC has divided the SFTR into seven geographical areas.  Each area should have an area leader and one or more assistants.  These persons are you liaison to the Community Preparedness Committee and also express concerns of area residents back to the POA Board of Directors.  They are likely to have up-to-date status about the emergency and would be a good source of current information ONLY if you are unable to find the information that you are looking for via the Hot Line or SFTR Web Page – Discussion Forum.  Please refer to the listing of area leader and assistants, along with a map of the ranch showing the boundaries of the seven areas, located on pages 8 & 9 in the Community Preparedness Hand book.  Also, the Web Site trinidad.co.gov has more information about Code Red sign up.

Currently, there is no leader for area seven.  Please contact me if you are interested in helping our community.  Home #719.846.2136 cell #620.544.1950 or email tbmcbride@live.com.
