SNOW PLOWING UPDATE: (Nov 13th - 5:00am)
Heath and Tom are both tending to their livestock and their roads and driveways this morning. They will be on the ranch this afternoon. They know there are some places that need attention. Vista West, Turkey Creek, and Antelope Run for starters.
SNOW PLOWING UPDATE: (Nov 11th - 5:00pm)
The plows plan to start on Squirrel and south Mountain View this morning and then the side roads. They were able to do some side roads on the south side yesterday. They still have a lot to do and we appreciate you staying home and off the roads. Thanks for your cooperation and patience.
Both plows are on the south end now. Working Gallinas, Timber Park and Fisher's Peak. They should get at least one pass on all the major roads today. Most roads are requiring at least 2 passes to make a narrow pass. It will probably take another 2 or 3 days before most roads are cleared enough for two-way traffic.
SNOW PLOWING UPDATE: (Nov 9th - 5:00pm)
Tom and Heath are working on installing the front blade on the 2nd motor grader so plowing is delayed this afternoon. We should have both plows in service soon. Not much daylight left today and they want to avoid plowing after darkness sets in because it is very difficult to determine the edge of the road. We will do what we can after the blade is installed. We plan to have both going tomorrow.
SNOW PLOWING UPDATE: (Nov 9th - 8:00am)
Tom has to get the backhoe up to Mountain View to dig out his plow that slid into the ditch last night. He got some of the main roads yesterday, but most drifted over as fast as he could plow. He was able to clear Fox Trail and allow San Isabel Electric to restore power to some of our neighbors.
Heath is bringing a bigger blade for the front of the other machine, so we will have 2 machines operating at some point today. It will still be very slow going. They can't operate after dark as it's difficult to determine the edge of the road even in daylight. Be patient. Please stay off the roads to avoid interference with the plows.
SNOW PLOWING UPDATE: (Nov 8th - 7:30am)
Tom is on the ranch. He has to walk to his machine at the mailboxes. He still has friends on CDOT that let him on the interstate as it is still closed. We think Heath can get here as well. It will be real slow going but we should have both machines going. Please don't try to leave your home. It will probably be late Sunday before the roads are back to semi normal

SNOW PLOWING UPDATE:
Snow plowing usually begins after the storm passes. Since this storm is supposed to last thru Friday we'll have to evaluate opportunities tomorrow. Tom has moved one of the graders to the mailboxes in case he has to walk from the bridge. The other grader is chained up to use if needed. Our contractor is out of town tending to his business in Texas. He hopes to return tomorrow and we hope he will be available Friday so we will have 2 machines plowing. Joe Richards has posted several forecasts in the last few days so hopefully everyone is prepared for to shelter in place for a couple days.
